Yellowstone National Park

This is the first one in our list of top 10 National Parks in the world. Located in the United States, it was created in 1872 and is the oldest in America. Grizzly bears, geysers and the most important- old faithful are the major attractions here. It is also a great place for activities like bird watching and witnessing steaming pools, hot springs and other wildlife.

Corcovado National Park

It is the largest one in Costa Rica and also, National Geographic has regarded this National Park as being the most diverse in terms of biodiversity. Spread over an area of around 164 square miles, it has mangrove swamps, mountain forests, prairies and a diverse wildlife ecosystem.

You can observe a few rare species like Jaguar and Harpy Eagles. Grand Canyon National Park

You can find hot deserts and also, the green forest here and vivid wildlife including Elk of California, condors and black bears.

Galapagos National Park

Situated in Ecuador, in 1978, this was the first to be included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. This National Park has almost everything for you. The famous Santa Cruz islands are full of greeneries to the lava erupting fields of Bartolome. Great Barrier Reef National Park

Famous for its coral reef, this National Park is another must-visit National Park in the world. Situated in Australia, it is amongst the UNESCO World Heritage sites and home to many species of frogs and saltwater crocodile. Spread over 1,33,000 square miles, this place is home to more than 215 species of birds along with 1500 fish species, various sea turtles, sharks, stingrays and around 30 species of cetaceans.

Kruger National Park

It is the oldest in South Africa which is spread over 7500 square miles and includes areas of Savannah grassland. It has many birds, mammals, reptiles and also rare animals including black Rhinos and African wild dogs. There are about 3,000 lions, 17,000 zebras, 5000 Giraffes, 11,000 elephants, 3000 hippos, 27,000 buffaloes, 1,50,000 Impalas and 6,000 Rhinos.

Jim Corbett National Park

One of the oldest in India, it was specifically established for the conservation of rare Bengal tigers. It started operating in 1936 and it is located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. This Park has a lot of beautiful landscape in store for you like rivers, grassland, hills, marsh including a beautiful lake. More than three fourth of the total area which is about 201 square miles, is covered with dense forest where 110 different species of trees, 580 species of birds, 25 reptile species and around 50 species of mammals are located. Apart from Bengal Tiger, this place also provides protection to some other endangered species like the Indian rhinoceros and the Asian elephants

Manú National Park

Apart from this, you can also witness some other exotic animals species like spectacled bears, Capybaras, Giant Otter, Puma, Jaguar, Brazilian tapir, sloths and monkeys. It covers an area of about 1,18,000 square miles and it is in the list of world UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Tikal National Park

Apart from wildlife, there is another reason for you to visit this National Park which is located in Guatemala as it has been part of the Mayan Civilization. In 1979, this place got a spot in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and has many old temples, pyramids, Royal Palace and the park region includes several birds and mammals like pumas, jaguars and anteaters and monkeys.

Tarangire National Park

This is the last National Park in our list of top ten National Parks. It is the sixth-largest one in Tanzania which is spread over an area of 1100 square miles. You can see dozens of elephants along with 550 species of birds, tree-climbing lions, termite mounds and dark mongooses. It also has many giant Baobab trees.
